吴孔明，主任。 男，1964年出生于河南省固始县。1984年毕业于河南农业大学植物保护系获农学学士学位， 1987年被浙江农业大学授予农学硕士学位。 1987-1992年在河南省农业科学院植物保护研究所
工作。1994年毕业于中国农业科学院研究生院，获农学博士学位。现为中国农业科学院植物保护研究所所长兼党委副书记（法定代表人）、研究员、博士研究生导师、一级杰出人才。并任国家第二届转基因生物安全委员会委员、国家自然科学基金委员会第九和十届生命科学部专家评审组成员、中国植保学会副理事长、中国昆虫学会常务理事、《植物保护》主编和《昆虫知识》副主编等职。
长期从事棉花害虫的生物学、控制技术和转基因抗虫棉花的环境安全研究工作。 先后主持科技部攀登计划、973计划、863计划和科技攻关计划多项课题。对棉铃虫地理型分化和兼性迁飞规律的研究取得突出成绩，系统阐明了我国棉铃虫地理型-兼性迁飞的生境适应模式。对Bt棉花害虫地位演化及害虫抗性治理的研究获得重要进展，此项研究已成为目前国际上该领域最系统的科学研究案例之一。获国家和省部级科技成果奖励7项，在国内外学术刊物上发表研究论文150篇，其中SCI源刊物30篇。

李世访，副主任。男，1964年7月生， 山东诸城人。1987年被国家教委公派到日本北海道大学农学院，从师于日本著名植物病毒学家四方英四郎(SHIKATA EISHIRO)先生，分别于1990、1993年获得硕士与博士学位。2000年回国工作，任植物病虫害生物学国家重点实验室副主任。
研究方向: 植物病毒学
